Happy 250th Independence Day, America.

Two and a half centuries ago, a bold idea took root on this soil: that people are born with God-given rights, that freedom is worth defending, and that a nation built on liberty could stand as a light to the world.

Through every trial, America has endured because its foundation was not convenience, but courage. Not silence, but conviction. Not surrender, but resolve.

Today we honor those who secured our independence, those who have defended it ever since, and those who still believe this nation is worth preserving.

May we never take for granted the blessing of living in a country where freedom still matters, truth still matters, and hope still has a home.
